Dalby sale 25 Jan 2023: Mild steer costs raise

Many of the cattle have been drawn from the native areas with one consignment of 486 head from Chinchilla.

Purchaser attendance was much like the earlier sale.

Costs for properly bred gentle weight yearling steers returning to the paddock improved by 20c to 30c/kg. The higher finish of the yearling steers to feed lifted in worth by 5c to 9c/kg.

Heavy grown steers and bullocks expertise little or no change in worth.

A big run of PTIC cows to restockers acquired glorious help. Nonetheless cows to processors misplaced 6c to 8c/kg. Mild weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to the occasional 568c with a big quantity at 503c/kg.

Restockers and feeder operators paid from 524c to 526c on the 280 to 330kg yearling steers with most gross sales from 471c to 480c/kg. Numbers improved once more this week to climb to 3324 head with GDL yarding 1148 head. The standard panel of patrons have been current and lively this week. Costs to your slaughter cattle continued to melt this week to various levels, good heavy cows offered to across the 280c/kg mark. Bulls offered nearer to the 250c/kg. Bullocks offered constantly shut 350/kg and heifers going to processors have been agency, although not many to cite. Feeder steers improved once more, up one other 10c/kg on common and heifers remained pretty agency. Light-weight yearling steers noticed the perfect enchancment at 20 to 30c/kg higher. Yearling heifers didn’t expertise a lot change.
