At this time is my twenty-fifth wedding ceremony anniversary, and that all the time will get a lady asking the Huge Questions.
Questions like, “What, no cake?”
And, “how do you spell ‘anniversary,’ anyway?”
And, “Does this appear suspicious to you?”
(“It is. Trying. At me.”)
After spending one half of my married life penning this weblog – which, WOW, amirite? – I’ve seen sufficient anniversary desserts to know many have precious life classes to show.
For instance, this one reminds us that the primary few years of marriage are a studying expertise.
A 4 yr “anniversity,” if you’ll.
And this one encourages us to by no means quit within the face of adversity, poor planning, or earthquakes:
Its all the time the thought that counts. ALWAYS.
And this is a precious reminder that, after 24 years, even essentially the most devoted couple would possibly want a little bit more room:
Love is available in all shapes, sizes, and combos, so by no means decide.
Some people would have given up after, like, TEN weddings – however not these two loopy youngsters!
And eventually, anniversaries aren’t simply in regards to the massive, life-changing moments; they’re about celebrating all of the on a regular basis belongings you get to share collectively. Issues like holding palms through the fireworks, or studying to one another on lengthy automobile rides … and even only a new pair of dentures:
Although for the file, Sweetie, I feel I am going to attract the road at sharing dentures.
